Hartford Youth ProgramPosted on 2009-11-12 14:18:16 by rpitThe Hartford Youth Program works with substance-abusing adolescents from the ages of 10 to 17. The program works with a variety of partners including schools, detention centers, child protective services, probation officers, the mental health system and homeless shelters to identify youth in need of treatment. The goal is to facilitate treatment through creative engagement and supportive case management. Education of parents, community leaders and schools about substance abuse among teens and new treatment approaches also are focuses of the program.
